Every year children (typically in Gr. 2) participate in a parish program in preparation for

First Confession & Solemn Holy Communion (Roman Catholics refer to this as “First Holy Communion”).

Even if children attend a Catholic school where First Communion prep is included in the Gr. 2 curriculum, it is most beneficial

to also participate in the parish program (the exception being St. Sophia which already includes a Byzantine rite program).
